Annual Conference

The annual Conference is a Time to Learn, Network and Engage in Wisconsin’s EE Culture

The annual Conference is an event for both members and non-members held at various locations around the state. It is a showcase for new teaching techniques, exciting field trips, and hands-on workshops. Participants come away with new knowledge and skills for their classroom and/or environmental education facility. The conference offers an excellent opportunity for educators, administrators, students and others interested in environmental education to network, share and learn.

The conference theme varies, focusing each year on a unique aspect of environmental education. With concurrent sessions, workshops, field trips, speakers, exhibits and entertainment, this conference offers something for everyone.

The conference is run by a committee of volunteers who work throughout the year to organize and promote the event. If you are interested in getting involved with conference planning, please contact the WAEE office.

40 Years of Collaboration

Each year WAEE hosts an Annual Conference where environmental educators from across the state gather to learn from one another, meet others in the field and gain inspiration for what we do and who we teach. In 2014, the WAEE Annual Conference is heading to Stevens Point!

We are pleased to announce that the 2014 Annual Conference will be a collaborative effort between WAEE and The Green&Healthy Schools Institute.
